Two disciplines

We build software, and we help you decide what to build

Some projects start with a question, others with a brief. We handle both, and we're just as comfortable telling you not to build something as we are building it.

What we build

Six kinds of system, mapped out

Pick a system type to see how its parts connect and which of our services are involved.

One place for the work, the people and the numbers

Your jobs, customers, people and figures in a single application. Instead of updating four spreadsheets and hoping everyone saw the email, your team works from the same live records, and managers see the state of the business without asking anyone for a report.

Operations platformLayer 1: Sales (Leads and quotes), Operations (Jobs and teams), Finance (Billing and margin). Layer 2: Operations platform (One login, one set of records). Layer 3: Shared database (Validated, audited and backed up)SalesLeads and quotesOperationsJobs and teamsFinanceBilling and marginOperations platformOne login, one set of recordsShared databaseValidated, audited and backed up

Let customers help themselves, securely

Customers sign in to check progress, approve quotes, download documents and raise requests at any hour. Your staff work from the same records with extra controls, so there is no second system to keep in sync and far fewer "just checking in" calls.

Customer self-service portalLayer 1: Customers (Phone, tablet or desktop), Your staff (Full admin view). Layer 2: Secure portal (Accounts, roles and audit log). Layer 3: Documents (Uploads and e-signing), Requests (Tickets and status), Billing (Invoices and payments)CustomersPhone, tablet or desktopYour staffFull admin viewSecure portalAccounts, roles and audit logDocumentsUploads and e-signingRequestsTickets and statusBillingInvoices and payments

Approvals that move on their own

Requests are routed by amount, department or risk, with deadlines, reminders and escalation built in. Routine cases are handled automatically; unusual ones land in a clear exception queue instead of disappearing into someone's inbox.

Approval workflowLayer 1: Request received (Form, email or API). Layer 2: Rules engine (Route by value, team and risk). Layer 3: Auto-approved (Routine cases), Review queue (Exceptions only), Escalated (Deadline missed). Systems that finally talk to each other

A documented integration layer between the tools you already pay for: CRM, accounting, e-commerce and HR. Field mappings are agreed in writing, failures retry automatically, and a daily reconciliation report confirms both sides still match.

Integration layerLayer 1: CRM (Contacts and deals), Accounting (Invoices and payments), E-commerce (Orders and stock), HR (People and payroll). A first release that tests the idea properly

A narrow but complete version of your product: the core journey, sign-up and payments where they matter, analytics from the first day, and a release pipeline that ships improvements in days. Built so that early traction doesn't force a rewrite.

Minimum viable productLayer 1: Sign-up (Accounts and onboarding), Core journey (The thing users pay for), Payments (Plans and billing). Layer 2: Product analytics (Measured from day one), Release pipeline (Improvements every week). Foundations that hold up under growth

Applications that scale out under load, managed databases with tested recovery targets, automated deployments, monitoring and cost visibility for each workload, all running in a cloud account that belongs to you.

How we work

Seven stages, each with a clear output

You always know where the project stands, what we need from you next, and what you'll receive at the end of each stage.

See the full process
  1. 01

    Discovery

Understand the problem, the people and the constraints before proposing anything.

  2. 02

    Scope & Proposal

Turn what we learned into a written scope, a dated schedule and a fixed quote.

  3. 03

    Design

Shape the user experience and the technical architecture before production code is written.

  4. 04

    Build

Develop in short, visible sprints, or carry out the advisory work for consulting.

  5. 05

    Test & Review

Prove it works, with your team, before it goes live.

  6. 06

    Launch & Handover

Go live carefully, and hand over everything you need to run it without us.

  7. 07

    Support & Improvement

Fix what comes up, keep things secure and plan what comes next.

Why A & P

We'd rather earn your trust with a clear written scope than with a wall of logos.

More about how we operate
  1. 01

    Built around you

We fit the software to your process, not the other way round. If an existing product suits you better, we'll recommend it.

  2. 02

    Scope in writing

Every engagement starts with a written scope that lists what's included and, just as importantly, what isn't.

  3. 03

    Prices you can see

Starting prices are published for every service, and quotes are fixed against the agreed scope.

  4. 04

    Proven technology

We choose mature, well-supported tools that your next developer will recognize. Novelty is a cost, not a feature.

  5. 05

    Yours to keep

Code, documentation, cloud accounts and data belong to you. No lock-in and no hostage hosting.

  6. 06

    Direct access

You talk to the people doing the work, with one named contact from the first call to handover.

Project inquiry

A short, structured inquiry makes the first call count

The form takes about five minutes. It asks what you want to achieve, what exists today, a rough budget and your timing, so our first conversation is about your problem rather than basic fact-finding.

  1. 01

    About you

Business, organization or individual, and the best way to reach you.

  2. 02

    What you need

Pick any of our services, or tell us you're not sure yet.

  3. 03

    Project details

Your goal, what you use today, the main challenge and what success looks like.

  4. 04

    Budget and timing

A rough range and when you'd like to start. Neither is a commitment.

  5. 05

    Review and send

Check a summary of your answers before anything is sent.

Common questions

Before you get in touch

Read all frequently asked questions
Do you work with individuals and private clients, or only companies?

We work with individual founders, independent professionals and private clients as well as businesses and organizations, and the approach is the same for everyone: a written scope, a fixed quote and code that you own. If you're starting from an idea rather than a specification, a short discovery phase is often the best first step, because it turns the idea into a plan you can budget for.

How long does a typical project take?

As a guide, a focused tool for a single workflow usually takes 4 to 8 weeks, a department-wide business system 3 to 4 months, and a larger platform 5 months or more, released in phases. Consulting engagements are usually measured in weeks rather than months. Discovery, when it's needed, typically takes 1 to 2 weeks, and every proposal includes a dated schedule.

How much does a typical project cost?

Development projects start from $2,500 and consulting engagements from $1,900, and each service page shows its own starting price. Small, well-defined pieces of work sit close to those figures, while systems with several user roles, integrations or data migration cost more. You'll always receive a fixed quote against a written scope before you commit to anything.

Can you work with our existing software?

Yes. Connecting systems through their APIs, extending an application someone else built and modernizing older software in stages are all core parts of what we do. We begin with a technical review of the code, data and hosting, so you get an honest assessment before committing to anything, including whether replacing a system would be smarter than extending it.

Who owns the code and intellectual property?

You do. Once the project is paid in full, ownership of the custom code, designs and documentation we create for you transfers to you, and the software runs in accounts registered in your name from the start. Open-source components keep their own licenses, and any pre-existing tools of ours included in the work come with a permanent license for you to use and modify them.

Do you work with clients in other countries and time zones?

Yes. We work remotely with clients worldwide, and every engagement runs the same way wherever you are: video calls, a shared project board and a staging environment you can check at any time. Meetings are scheduled at times that work for both sides, and most day-to-day communication happens in writing, so progress never depends on being online at the same moment.

Have a project in mind?

Tell us what you're trying to achieve. We'll come back with a clear view of the scope, the approach and the cost, and if we're not the right fit, we'll say so quickly.
