Strategy, architecture, cloud and process advice from people who also build software, delivered as clear written recommendations with the reasoning shown.
What consulting covers
Good technology decisions are rarely about technology alone. They balance cost, risk, people and time, and they're easier to make with an advisor who has nothing to sell you.
Consulting is for the moments before and between projects: choosing what to build or buy, planning a move to the cloud, checking whether an architecture will hold up, or finding out where the working day actually goes before anyone spends money on software.
Each engagement has a fixed scope and price and ends with a written deliverable: findings, options, a recommendation and the reasoning behind it. You can act on it with us, with another supplier or with your own team.
Services
Four kinds of advisory work, each ending in a written deliverable. Each page explains what's included and how long it usually takes.
Independent, vendor-neutral advice on what to build, buy, keep or retire, turned into a roadmap and budget your leadership team can act on.
Decide what to move, rebuild, keep or retire, model the real costs, then migrate in planned waves with a tested way back at every step.
Independent architecture and code reviews, technical due diligence and design advice, so big technical decisions rest on evidence, not habit.
Find out where the working day really goes, remove the steps that don't need to exist, then choose changes and tools people will actually use.
Not sure where to start?
Many projects touch two or three services. Tell us what's slowing you down and we'll recommend a sensible first step, with a fixed quote.
How we advise
What makes our recommendations practical rather than theoretical.
We don't resell software licenses or cloud services, so our recommendations aren't shaped by margins or partner targets.
Every engagement ends with a document you keep: what we found, the options, what we recommend and why. Decisions can be explained to a board, a budget holder or a future team.
We also design and build software, so our advice accounts for what implementation really costs and how long it really takes.
Keeping a system, buying a product or doing nothing for now are all legitimate recommendations. We'll make them when they're right.
How engagements run
Consulting engagements are fixed in scope and price, run in weeks rather than months, and always end with a written deliverable you keep.
A call to agree the question, the scope, who we'll speak to and what the deliverable will look like.
Interviews, workshops, document and system reviews, and data where it exists.
Options compared on cost, risk and effort, with a clear recommendation and a sequenced plan.
A walkthrough with your decision makers, then the final written report, yours to keep and share.
Tell us what you're trying to decide and by when. We'll suggest the smallest engagement that gives you a confident answer.
